Greetings Friends and Colleagues,
I am thrilled to be welcoming a new decade! More than just another new year, the start of 2020 means new long-term goals and adventures for me.
A letter from the IRS rarely gives me pause for joy. However, two weeks ago, I was all smiles and filled with gratitude that the IRS has granted a new and separate organization, The Amazing Care Charitable Foundation, its non-profit status. Our organization is deemed as a public charity and qualifies as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
I felt compelled to create a nonprofit foundation to help fund programs that have proven appealing and helpful to people, including those who cannot afford the counseling services offered through the clinical pharmacy and Physician-Friends-of-the-Family program. In addition, our educational offerings via the ACN teas and luncheons provide solid and useful information about topics ranging from caregiving to financial management as we age, that have benefitted many, and I would like to extend this benefit to others who are unable to afford the fees associated with these programs. I am excited about how the foundation can help those in the midst of care-giving and/or just dealing with the joys and indignities of aging and could use financial support to avail themselves of our programs.
As you can imagine, I’m heavy into fundraising for the foundation. If you know of organizations. foundations and/or individuals who might wish to support the work of The Amazing Care Foundation, please let me know. Our tax id number is 84-2890428. We’ve already received our first donation, and I am most grateful for the support.
I am looking forward to a decade of more shared learning experiences with all of you.
