According to the World Health Organization, by 2050, nearly a quarter of the world population will be over 60. Although society continues to glorify ageism as a gateway to wisdom, we frequently overlook obstacles that come with age.
Long before modern medicine provided scientific evidence for the mind-body connection, the sages of India described a natural and personalized healing system called Ayurveda (pronounced Eye-Your-Vay-Duh). To this day, it’s still one of the most sophisticated, powerful, and preventative health systems.
To further illuminate this discussion, Amazing Care Network hosted an insightful interview featuring Cora Tellez in conversation with Susan Fickinger, an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coach and the founder of Wise Soul Ayurveda. It outlines the fundamentals of Ayurveda and how it might assist us in taking a holistic approach to managing Gerontology.
The interview compared and contrasted a few regular Ayurvedic lifestyle practices for optimal health with western medicine. The interview’s overall goal was to raise knowledge about Ayurvedic health advantages and encourage people to adopt them as a daily lifestyle practice.
