As Amazing Care Network has grown, so has the list of resources we provide to our clients and the general public. I’m a heavy utilizer of webpages that lists resources, good things to read, things to research, etc. We have one for you on our site! Check it out HERE.
When my husband Pablo was in the last stages of cancer, I needed to find certain resources to help us cope with his increasing frailty. I turned to our webpage, and in particular, found the following of interest:
- Finding a case manager. I was pleased that a national organization exists which identifies and credentials caregivers. This site provides a list of such professional within 25 miles of one’s address HERE.
- Coping with over 10 medications and tough (seemingly uncontrollable) drug interactions. I turned to UCSD School of Clinical Pharmacy, one of Amazing Care’ clinical resources aimed at medication treatments. Learn more HERE.
- Understanding cancer. I remember researching Pablo’s particular kind of cancer. And through it all, I found myself returning to THIS ARTICLE for guidance. It’s on our website in the resource section. Pablo reminded me of this section often: “Cancer patients quickly become disempowered as they enter the healthcare maze. Everyone tells them what to do and when to do it. The greatest gift you can give your partner is your quiet support and a ready ear.”
- Decluttering. Pablo, the love of my life, was a packrat. I turned to our website to help me find someone who can help me declutter our home. And you guessed it, there’s a national organization that trains and credentials organizers/declutters. More on that HERE.
There are far more resources on our website than I can adequately describe. Suffice to say that if you are in need of resources associated with aging, then please visit our website. You may just find the resource you’re looking for!
